Permissions​

The MCP server respects Fulcrum's permission system. You can only view or modify data that your Fulcrum user account has access to. If you try something you don't have permission for, your AI tool will tell you.

You can ask "What permissions do I have?" at any time to check.

Safety​

All status changes that could have side effects are previewed before executing. Your AI tool will show you:

  • Whether the transition is valid
  • Any blockers that would prevent it
  • Warnings about side effects (e.g., reverting a sales order to Draft cancels all associated jobs and shipments)

You always confirm before anything changes.

A note for ITAR shops​

The MCP server is available to all Fulcrum customers, including shops with ITAR-compliant Fulcrum sites. However, many commercially available AI tools are not ITAR-compliant and you may need to take additional steps in order to ensure compliance.

That said, Archie, the AI assistant built into Fulcrum, has access to the same MCP server (and has other capabilities) and is available on ITAR sites.
